Hans Dulfer

Hans Dulfer is one of Holland’s best known and most versatile musicians. He closely follows the latest trends, but maintains to be a typical jazz musician. With his illustrious and progressive formations (Perikels, Reflud, Big Boy) Hans Dulfer has become the most famous saxophonist in the Netherlands. For many years Hans operated as a stage performer par excellence, putting record making on the second plan. When in the nineties he finally became serious about recording, large-scale success followed in the Netherlands and even a star status in Japan. Hans also played, amongst others, with Boy Edgar, John McLaughlin, Willem Breuker, Jan Akkerman and Herman Brood.

On Friday afternoon June 7th Hans Dulfer and his band will open the 11th edition of the Red Light Jazz Festival in the world famous Casa Rosso Theater. Be aware! If you want to see this free concert of the still rousing Dutch saxophonist, come on time!
