Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet – Authentic Gypsy Jazz with a Fresh Twist
A Swinging Tribute to Django Reinhardt
The Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet is a gypsy jazz ensemble that sounds both authentic and innovative. The quartet’s arrangements and lively, fresh performances pay homage to traditional gypsy jazz in the spirit of Django Reinhardt. From start to finish, the audience is treated to swinging vocals and delightful instrumental solos.
From Jazz Clubs to International Festivals
Since 2018, Marcia’s quartet has been performing in jazz clubs, intimate concert halls, and festivals at home and abroad — including the world’s largest Django Reinhardt Festival in Fontainebleau, France.
Collaborations with Gypsy Jazz Greats
The quartet frequently collaborates with leading artists in the genre, such as Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Gismo Graf, and Tim Kliphuis.
Albums and a New Theatre Tour
In 2022, the Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet released Smile, a bilingual English-French album. In the second half of 2025, a fully French-language album is set to be released. That same period will mark the start of a theatre tour featuring their new show It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Gypsy Swing!, a dynamic performance in which the quartet shares their passion for gypsy swing music.
