Soleil & Wolf - Sunny Sounds Full of Soul
Soleil & Wolf is a duo consisting of vocalist Soleil Niklasson and guitarist Wolf Martini. Their music touches both heart and soul, marked by sensitivity, tonal beauty, and authenticity. In addition to select jazz and soul classics, their repertoire includes original compositions that reflect their shared love for jazz, gospel, Latin, and soul.
Soleil Niklasson – Power and Joy of Life
Born in Chicago and raised in Los Angeles, Soleil (“the sun”) Niklasson is an internationally sought-after singer who has worked with the likes of Stan Getz, Billy Preston, Linda Hopkins, Rod Stewart, and Udo Lindenberg. She radiates pure joy of life. Her voice is moving, warm, and powerful—grounded and full of energy.
Wolf Martini – Soulful and Versatile
Wolf Martini plays guitar with a warm, groovy tone reminiscent of his role models: Wes Montgomery, George Benson, and Kenny Burrell. Born in Aachen, Germany, Wolf studied music at the Conservatorium in Hilversum. After graduating, he gained extensive experience performing with various jazz, pop, and world music bands both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Wolf has also contributed to numerous TV, radio, and CD recordings. He has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Bimhuis, and Paradiso, sharing the stage with artists such as Rita Reys, Candy Dulfer, Denise Jannah, Benjamin Herman, and Jhelisa Anderson, and has even collaborated on DJ projects. In short, Wolf is a true musical all-rounder.
