Albert Yde Waidtløw – Danish Talent with International Allure
The talented Danish guitarist Albert Yde Waidtløw, now based in New York, is receiving widespread acclaim for his exceptional artistic qualities. His music blends classical and modern jazz with forward-thinking ideas, and his improvisations captivate with their originality, finesse, and innovative expression.
In March 2023, Albert was awarded the Talent Prize by Musikforeningen PIANO, a prestigious recognition of the most promising new name in the Danish jazz scene.
During Red Light Jazz, Albert Yde Waidtløw will perform at Café ZILT alongside a group of alumni from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, all of whom are well-known figures in the Amsterdam jazz scene.
Lachy Hamilton – Saxophonist with Global Experience
Saxophonist and composer Lachy Hamilton hails from the small community of Scotland Island in Sydney, Australia, and is currently based in Amsterdam. His musical journey has included recordings and performances with artists such as Tkay Maidza, Lime Cordiale, James Morrison, Sarah McKenzie, Donny Benét, and Mat Jodrell.
His own ensembles—including his trio, quartet, and the eight-piece group YeahNuptet—have performed regularly across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Giacomo Camilletti – Italian Groove and Improvisation
Italian drummer Giacomo Camilletti was born in 1997 in Rome. From a young age, he immersed himself in classical piano and percussion. In 2015, Camilletti attended various jazz seminars in Italy, where he was introduced to leading national and international figures in Afro-American and contemporary music.

In 2016, Giacomo Camilletti chose to study jazz drums at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, marking the beginning of his exploration of the European jazz scene. He has since performed at renowned venues such as the Bimhuis, Concertgebouw, Teatro Rivoli, and Muziekgebouw.
Over the following years, Giacomo toured across Europe with various jazz and improvisation ensembles. His wide-ranging collaborations highlight his talent as a compelling drummer with a keen sense of groove and a deep passion for improvisation. He is currently completing his master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Alberto Romanillos – Classical Roots, Jazz Future
Alberto Romanillos is a young jazz trumpeter with 10 years of classical trumpet experience. He is about to begin a two-year program at the world-renowned Juilliard School in New York. Passionate about music, Alberto enjoys connecting with other talented musicians, such as Albert Yde Waidtløw, as he continues to grow artistically and expand his musical horizons.

Samuel Kiel – Composer, Bandleader, Innovator
Samuel Kiel is a young Danish double bassist based in Amsterdam. He is a bandleader, composer, and entrepreneur, best known for his eight-piece ensemble Sonic Choir of Love, whose debut album has just been released. The band was also awarded a prize by the Keep an Eye Foundation, an organization that supports emerging talent in the Dutch jazz scene.
Samuel is also the founder of the crossover group “Meetings”, which brings together a string quartet and piano trio to explore the intersection of contemporary classical music and improvisation. In addition to his own projects, he is an active sideman in various other ensembles, contributing his distinctive voice and versatility to a wide range of musical settings.

Teunis Loot – Dutch Drumming Talent
Teunis Loot (2001) is a promising Dutch jazz drummer from Zaandam, currently based in Amsterdam. After successfully completing his studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he quickly emerged as a rising talent in the Dutch jazz scene. Despite his young age, Teunis has already performed with leading figures from both the Dutch and international jazz worlds.
His playing has taken him to renowned venues such as the Bimhuis, and he has also toured internationally most recently in Japan.
