Flatland Prayer Duo Brings Intimate Improvisations to the Heart of the Red Light District
River Adomeit & Liva Dumpe
River Adomeit (double bass) and Līva Dumpe (vocals) are affiliated with Red Light Arts & Culture (RLAC) and have been performing together for over three years as part of the folk/improvisation trio Flatland Prayer.
On Friday, June 6, they will appear as a duo at the Prostitutie Informatie Centrum (P.I.C.), presenting music from their 2024 debut album Like Staring Straight into the Sun, as well as a preview of their upcoming release in January 2026, which is being developed through Keep an Eye: The Records, where they were named the 2025 winners.
With acclaimed performances at TivoliVredenburg and the Bimhuis to their name, this duo now brings their signature sound to the Red Light Jazz Festival.
