Ricky’s Silver Blues Syndicate – Chicago Blues in ‘Skek
Portuguese singer and harmonica player Ricardo Silva founded Ricky’s Silver Blues Syndicate after a 2024 trip to Buenos Aires. There, he recorded an EP at Estúdios ION with some of the top musicians from the Argentine blues scene. The sessions included renditions of his favorite Chicago Blues classics as well as a few original tracks.
Upon returning to the Netherlands, this recording inspired a new project: Ricky’s Silver Blues Syndicate. Joined by three outstanding musicians Ronny deCarlo (NL) on guitar, Giuseppe Bordasco (IT) on bass, and David Puime (ESP) on drums Ricardo Silva delivers a masterclass in musicianship and pays a heartfelt tribute to the raw, electrifying sound of 1950s Chicago Blues.
Following the performance at ‘Skek, a 1950s-style jam session will continue until 2:30 AM, with conservatory students invited to join in.
