Usoku – Musical Diversity in Motion
USOKU is a project that originated in Amsterdam in 2023. The international diversity of its members — hailing from Kazakhstan, South Africa, Mexico, France, Tunisia, Italy, and the Netherlands — sets this group apart and gives it a truly distinctive sound.
Each member brings their own cultural influences, musical traditions, and perspectives, blending them into something fresh and unique. Led by trombonist and composer Willy Bcw, the sextet navigates effortlessly through various genres, combining acoustic sounds with electronic elements.
From the groovy rhythms of hip-hop to the richness of jazz vocabulary, and from introspective reflections to contemporary classical music — each piece invites you to reflect on the complexity of existence through the language of music.
