Graziëlla Hunsel Rivero & ZOJazz band
The jazz classic Broken hearted melody sung by Sarah Vaughan changed the musical world of the versatile singer-songwriter Graziëlla Hunsel Rivero in 2011. Jazz became her first love! She produced two seasons of the music theater show “The Grand Ladies of Jazz” and performed her one-woman show “The Jazz in me”. In her part of Amsterdam, South East, she started the ZOJazz Lounge, the only live Jazz event with dinner & drinks in the style of the Cotton Club and she was featured in the music theater show “Swingin’Harlem” by New York Round Midnight and several shows by the Konrad Koselleck Big Band. In 2018 she played the role of the woman with the issue of blood in The Passion and was part of the cast of the dinner show “Brooklyn nights” in studio Aalsmeer. She has also been one of the ambassadors of the Red Light Jazz Festival for five years, the biggest jazz event in Amsterdam.
Graziëlla has now been working for more than 3 years to realize a new Jazz and world music stage with rehearsal house for Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the world at the Zandkasteel, a monumental former bankbuilding located in the Amsterdamse Poort. On June 6, 2024, the first part of her company, ZOJazz Stage, opens its doors.
