Jazz duo In Essence, featuring Iman Spaargaren and Peter Bjornild, presents an intimate, fully acoustic dialogue of saxophone, clarinet, and double bass.
Improvisation and interplay
On their album In Essence (2025), they explore both well-known and lesser-known jazz standards, leaving ample room for improvisation and subtle interplay. Drawing from their shared background in the Amsterdam music scene, they have developed a lyrical and close interaction in which they complement and challenge each other.
