Freedom, Energy and Swing

A concert by Trio of Liberty guarantees beauty, freedom, and pure energy—driven by interplay, improvisation, and swing!

Chemistry and Musical Dynamics

Bassist Joris Teepe and American saxophonist Don Braden have been playing together for 31 years. With this concert on Saturday, June 6, during Red Light Jazz, they celebrate the release of Chemistry, their fifth album as co-leaders.

The strength of the Teepe & Braden duo lies in constantly embracing new musical challenges: for each edition of Trio of Liberty, they invite a different drummer. This results in fresh dynamics, surprising interaction, and a unique musical chemistry every time.

Over the years, Teepe and Braden have performed with renowned drummers such as Jeff “Tain” Watts, Louis Hayes, Matt Wilson, Winard Harper, Owen Hart Jr., Eric Ineke, and Gene Jackson.

For this performance at Casablanca during Red Light Jazz, none other than Steve Altenberg will take his place behind the drums.

An evening full of adventure, craftsmanship, and captivating jazz awaits!
