Authentic New Orleans jazz from the early days
The Jazzy Rabbits perform classic jazz in an old-style, acoustic setting, focusing mainly on mid-tempo New Orleans songs from the period 1915–1930. Their inspirations include Louis Armstrong and the Hot Five and Hot Seven, King Oliver, Clarence Williams, Bix Beiderbecke, and Tiny Parham.
Reviving forgotten melodies with care
These classic jazz songs are performed with great attention to detail. In addition to the chorus (the main tune), The Jazzy Rabbits often include the verse—the frequently forgotten introductory melody of the song. Naturally, they also have a wide repertoire of Dixieland classics, sometimes even adding their own Dutch lyrics for a playful twist.
