Pianist Oscar Ployart spent his childhood on a farm in North Jutland, Denmark, where he fell in love with music. He was especially drawn to the irresistible energy and musical dialogue of jazz improvisation.
With The Serenaders, Oscar performs old-school swinging, melodic, and dreamy music at ‘Skek. Inspired by legends like Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus, the quartet draws from both the traditional and the adventurous sides of jazz to offer the audience a musical experience that feels warm and introspective, yet full of spirit and life.
