Sax player Benjamin Herman is one of the most versatile Dutch jazz musicians of all time, always determined to push boundaries of the genre.

Since the late 1990s he has played an important role in the ever-eclectic New Cool Collective, with which he has produced a considerable number of records. Benjamin also released albums as a solo artist and in numerous other combinations. But there’s nothing like performing in front of a live audience at the Red Light Jazz festival in his hometown.

TenClub’s own Bas van Lier will add his Hammond groove to the mix on Sunday evening, June 9, while star drummer Jamie Peet will explore the endless possibilities of jazz-based rhythms. This is going to be one hell of a funky set and is not to be missed.
