After more than ten years of musical chemistry singer Camille Sledge and pianist and Hammond player Bas van Lier are proud to present their first full-length project together: Dance, Dance! A vibrant, groove-packed upcoming album that brings together two worlds; the rich legacy of American funk and soul, and the deep, jazz-rooted energy of European musicianship.
Carrying the Legacy
Camille Sledge, daughter of Debbie Sledge from the legendary Sister Sledge, has toured the globe with extraordinary other adult children of the original members of Sister Sledge in a band called ‘Sledgendary’. With Sledgendary and her dynamic voice and stage energy Camille continued the legacy of Sister Sledge.
A Dutch-American Fusion
Dutch pianist/organist Bas van Lier brings his deep roots in jazz, funk, and soul, adding his signature groove and rich musicality to the mix. Together they form the brand new Dutch/American formation SledgeLier who has created a sound that’s both timeless and forward-looking: soulful, danceable, and full of joy.

The album Dance, Dance! blends original tracks with bold reimaginings of classics like We Are Family and Lost in Music, but always with their own twist. This isn’t just a release, it’s the birth of a band. Turn it up and… Dance, Dance!
