Guy Salamon Quartet
Guy Salamon is an award winning jazz drummer, composer, arranger, recording artist and band leader. Known for leading the ‘Guy Salamon Group’ with his idiosyncratic view of jazz and humorous, melancholic music, Guy has become one of the notable musicians in the young Dutch jazz scene.
Michael Moore, born in 1954 in Arcata, California, is celebrated for his contributions to jazz and improvised music. Settling in Amsterdam in 1982, he collaborated with artists like Misha Mengelberg, Franky Douglas, and Han Bennink. Moore’s diverse musical palette, influenced by global traditions, enriches his compositions, performances, and teaching pursuits across Europe and North America.
Spanish pianist Xavi Torres is one of the most sought-after instrumentalists in the contemporary jazz scene. He is currently living in Amsterdam, while he travels often all over Europe for his several concerts yearly with different projects. He has won several awards, including the Dutch Jazz Competition, Keep an Eye International Award and Enderrock 2024, including being the second Spanish to ever be in the semifinals of the Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition in Washington DC, and he has released 7 albums as a leader. His music combines influences from jazz, classical and Mediterranean music.
Omer Govreen an Amsterdam based, double bass player, born in Israel. He received a full scholarship to study at the prestigious Jazz-institute – Rimon School of music collaborative program with Berklee School of Music, followed by a bachelor degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In recent years, Govreen co-leads the jazz ensembles Garden Crack and Govreen/Sever and as a sideman, he performs regularly with established artists, including Tineke Postma, Benjamin Herman, Anat Fort, Jimmy Halperin, Michael Moore, Marc van Roon, John Schroder, Phillipp Ruttgers, Sun Mi Hong and Eran Har Even.
