On Friday June 7th pianist Dick Barten, guitarist Rolf Koppijn and double bassist Rob Veenhuizen will perform as “The Monkey Trio” in Café In ‘t Aepjen, one of the two remaining historic wooden buildings in Amsterdam.

The trio plays an extensive repertoire. As a flexible rhythm section, they have already accompanied many large and small “fools of jazz” in Ghana, Jamaica, Thailand, Lithuania and Canada, among others. In Café In’t Aepjen, the men themselves are the center of attention.
