Expect a magical fusion of diverse traditions: music and dance, flamenco and jazz. The group was formed by pianist Xavi Torres, a major talent from the Catalan jazz scene. A special role is reserved for Mexican dancer Karen Lugo, who blends flamenco with contemporary dance. The house belonged to drummer Per Oddvar Johansen, known for his recordings on the renowned ECM label. The other musicians were saxophonist Kika Sprangers, pianist Kjetil Mulelid, and bassist Mats Eilertsen, also an ECM recording artist. Surrounded by the crisp silence of the landscape, they began to play. The recordings led to their debut album Morning, which will be released this summer on the Norwegian label Hubro.
