Giuseppe Campisi Quartet

Giuseppe Campisi is an Italian-born bass player, composer and arranger. As a 2016 graduate Magna Cum Laude in Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music, he’s currently attending the master program in Jazz Performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Giuseppe has played in major Italian jazz festivals such as Umbria Jazz, Ortigia Jazz Festival, Canicattini Jazz, Jazz in Badia, MessinaSeaJazz, Castelbuono Jazz Festival, Catania Jazz and Umbria Jazz Winter. He has performed and recorded with prominent names, both in Europe and in the United States, including George Garzone, Dick Oatts, Bob Moses, Yoron Israel, Ray Mantilla, Jason Palmer, Ambrose Akinmusire, Jasper Blom, Stjepko Gut, Rob Van Bavel and many others.

Besides his regular freelance-musician gigs, Giuseppe is a prolific composer and arranger. He leads his own band, and he is part of Fluid Collective, an ensemble formed during his Berklee years, with which he has recorded an album: In The Woods. The Fluid Collective is working on the second one, named The A’dam Chapter.
