GIDEON TAZELAAR

Gideon Tazelaar (1997) started playing saxophone at the age of 7. When he was 8, Gideon already performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and from the age of 11 he played almost every year at the North Sea Jazz Festival. At the age of 14 he was admitted to the Bachelor’s program at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He graduated cum laude in 2017 and now lives in New York where he is studying further to get the most out of his exceptional talent.

Gideon repeatedly joined the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw and the New Cool Collective and played with Dick Oatts, Eric Alexander, Benjamin Herman, Ruud Jacobs, Peter Beets, John Engels etc.
