Chet Baker - The last days

Chet Baker, The Last Days is a Dutch documentary on Chet Baker’s final days in Amsterdam. It’s a fascinating and highly informative film made in 1990 by the recently commissioned director Willem Ouwerkerk on behalf of de ‘Wereldomroep’. Many insiders were interviewed such as jazz pianist Russ Freeman, Wim Wigt (record boss), Evert Hekkema (trumpet player), Belgian guitarist Philip Cathérine and Jacques Pelzer, “the pharmacy saxophonist from Liege (Belgium)”.
“Chet Baker, The Last Days is perhaps the most accurate and honest look at the life, career and The Last Days of Chet Baker. There is some very rare footage and a balanced look into Baker’s playing.”
